Teachers are known for spending their own money on their classrooms. Fortunately, websites like Amazon have made it easier to ask for classroom supplies and materials from families, friends, and others. Here’s how to get your Amazon Wish List ready for back-to-school night, parent-teacher conferences, and other events that showcase the amazing work you do.
In addition to explaining how to set up an Amazon Wish List, download our Amazon Wish List bundle, which will help you brainstorm, organize, and share your wish list. And as those brown Amazon boxes start arriving, use our templates to thank parents and others in your community who donate.

Sharing Your Amazon Wish List
Share your list with parents during school events and conferences. You can share it more broadly on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Try using hashtags on your social posts such as #clearthelist2025, #clearthelist, and #PostForPencils. If it’s allowed, share the list in your classroom or school newsletter. Send emails or messages via your parent communication app. Sometimes PTAs or local community groups purchase items from teacher wish lists, so it’s worth checking.
